Do not allow the box to obstruct airflows to pumps

All nuts and bolts should be “finger tightened” only until the box is assembled, then “Spanner Tightened”.

ASSEMBLY DETAIL

A + XB models can be installed with the small “blank” panel on the left or the right hand side of the large front panel. Normally the door panel should be installed on the same side as the pump with the “blank” panel on the Filter side. The large back panel can only be installed directly behind the large front panel and the small back panel must be installed behind the small front. Having determined which side of the equipment the door is to be positioned you can now proceed.

1. Stand the rear panel behind the filter and attach and small back panel, securing both with roundhead nuts and bolts. (Note that one folded corner will fit inside the other). Fit the “U” shaped 400 mm long strengthening channel with legs upwards into the bottom fold of the 2 back panels. Moderate pressure is required to ensure a good fit.

2. Slide the side panels into the fold of the back panels and secure with roundhead nuts and bolts. One corner of the back will be a “loose-fit”, use two rubber spacer to fill the void between the side and back panel.

3. Fit two large front panels exactly as per back panel. Fit the small front panel as per small back panel. If the small front panel does not fit turn it “upside-down” and it will fit.

4. Fit the front strengthening channel to the bottom front and fit the “cut out” front top channel legs upwards, exactly as per back panel. Fit the remaining spacers on the “loose fit” front corner as per back corner.

5. The strengthening angles bridges the two timber plates located on the top of the rear panels. Place the angel on the top of the timber plate with the punched holes facing forward. Ensure that the single hole on the top of the angle is centred in the middle of the fold recess. Use 6 of the woodscrews provided to fix the angle to the timber plates.

6. The centre brace is fitted inside the box and bridges the front and rear panels where they join between the two lids. Attach to the front of the box using the nut and bolt provided and attach the back to the top of the strengthening angle using the self-tapping screws provided.

7. Place both lids on the top of the box. The “Wings” of the lids should overhang both sides of the side panels and rest inside the slot of the join of the back panels at the rear.

8. Insert the hexhead bolts (with washers on the outside) through the “Wings” to secure the lids to the rear corner. Important: Only tighten these bolts 1 and 2 thread turns. Insert the middle centre bolt (this can be done from inside the box if access is limited at the rear). The lids will now be sitting up to 25 mm from the top of the rear panels to provide ventilation. Use the long (65 mm hex-nut) on the outside edge of the large lid with the rubber spacer placed between the inside lid wing and the side panel.

9. Fit the 2 acoustic baffles into the top rear of the box. The 90° fold rest on the top of the side and the 45° fold sits inside the edge of the centre brace. Ensure that they are pushed flush to the back of the box to avoid noise escape through the rear ventilation openings.

10. Examine the alignment of the lids at the front of the box to ensure that the box is “square” and if not, pull the box into square. The lids should be flush when the box is square. All nuts and bolts can now be tightened.

11. The box can now be secured to the footing (or slab) using the Woodscrews provided. Remove the front doors and insert the screws through the holes in the bottom fold of the front panels.

12. Attach the lid latch to the underside of the large front lid using the self-tapping screws provided.

FINALLY

Ensure there is no gap at the base of the box as this can allow noise to escape. Fill any large gaps with Silicone Sealant.
